Recent statistics from the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation have shown there’s good news if you’re Indian working in health, services or industry. When looking at the statistics so far for 2018, of the 4,711 critical visa issued, 1,672 went to Indians. Of the total visas issued 2,108 Services, 1,607 Medical & Nursing & 655 Industry.
Ireland has a number of shortages of labour in certain sectors. In order to accommodate these sectors Ireland has a critical skills visa. This visa allows the holder to work in Ireland if they have certain critical skills. There are a number of conditions such the contract duration and the minimum salary must be over €30,000. You also qualify for the visa if your salary is over €60,000. You can apply for this visa yourself once you have an offer from your company or your company can apply for you. The cost is €1,000.
